How to make the index.html my homepage?

-Hi I am editing a website using cPanel. I made my necessary changes in the index.html file. Now how to I publish the changes? I saved the changes, and if I go to my website with a /index.html extension, the changes appear correctly. But if I simply go to my website (with no "/" extensions), the changes do not appear-- only the old, incorrect version appears.Always be careful of the browser cache. Despite loading the latest file it will sometimes show the previous version. Sometimes this can be overcome by putting a ? at the end of the url. In Chrome I generally have to clear the cache. Index is the default file name so you should just be bale to enter

www.mysite.com and get the page up.

best guess is you uploaded like an index.htm and an index.html and it is picking the index.htm one first



or you saved the changes to your harddrive and looking at the internet copy and you never uploaded the changes to the internet
