Does anyone know how to turn separate gif or jps into ONE animated banner without Photoshop?

-I made a few banners... all the same size... and want to "merge" them into ONE banner so that they act like a standard animated banner where it shows one "frame"... then the next "frame" (or rotation, if you will) shows, etc. (I don't have Photoshop, and none of the online banner generators are any good.) More...Well if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and using a command line interface, GIFSicle is quite powerful, and it's free.
